A hearing related to a controversial plan to convert First Christian Church to a 24-hour homeless facility has been postponed by Loveland City Council. The Loveland Reporter Herald reports at Tuesday’s meeting, members voted 5 to 4 to table a discussion of a rezoning application for the church property at 2000 S. Lincoln Ave. until a “comprehensive impact study” of the plan can be conducted. The potential facility would provide overnight shelter for homeless adults as well as “wrap-around” services, such as behavioral health evaluations, case management, housing assistance and more.
