DENVER (KDVR) — Tuesday night temperatures plummeted into the single digits and below following a snowstorm that blanketed much of the state , leading to dangerously cold temperatures ahead of the next round of snow.
Almost all of the eastern plains will experience single-digit temperatures overnight into Wednesday, and portions of the high country could drop to 10 or 20 below zero. Some areas of the Front Range, like Fort Collins, could be near 0 degrees overnight, according to the National Weather Service.

There could also be some fog experienced in the South Platte River Valley toward Berthoud and Longmont on Wednesday morning, according to the NWS Boulder. The fog is expected to stay north of Denver. As of about 9:15 p.m., NWS was reporting dense fog had developed along the Interstate 25 corridor including Greeley and Fort Collins.
Visibility was limited to under a quarter mile in areas. NWS said the fog will dissipate “late Wednesday morning” and will impact the morning commute.
