United Way of Larimer County and United Way of Weld County Release ALICE Report on Financial Reality Facing Hardworking Coloradans
Northern Colorado women are working hard, but for many, financial stability remains out of reach. A newly released ALICE Report, developed by United Ways across Colorado in partnership with United For ALICE and supported by Ent Credit Union, reveals that one in three households in Larimer and Weld counties struggle to afford basic needs, despite many being employed.
The situation is even more severe for single mothers. Seventy-two percent of single mothers in Larimer and Weld counties struggle to afford basic needs. While 29% live below the federal poverty level, another 42% of single mothers are ALICE—Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed.
