Bohemian Cottage Outside of Loveland Has New Owners With New Plan
2025 marked 40 years since what was once a beloved German restaurant opened along Highway 34, a few miles west of Loveland. The restaurant officially closed in 2012, remaining dormant until early 2025.
The new owners of Bohemian Cottage first bought the home above the building, then opted to continue the tradition of owning the cottage as well.
Having grown up in Loveland myself, I always felt that Bohemian Cottage always had a “Sound of Music” vibe about it. Though we never did dine at Bohemian Cottage, we always liked seeing it as we drove by, on our way to Estes Park.
There’s also that little house on the hill above the “cottage,” which is now owned by a couple who are ready to take the building into its next incarnation. According to the Reporter-Herald, they want to make it a beer garden where you pour your own beer as well as a little cocktail lounge…
