Greeley woman killed after restraining order report; suspect dead

GREELEY, Colorado — A woman in Greeley was killed after reporting a possible restraining order violation to police on Monday, Greeley Police said in a release.

On Monday, at about 9:33 a.m., Greeley Police said one of their officers was dispatched to investigate the woman’s complaint of a possible restraining order violation.

Hours later, at about 4:30 p.m., the officer was speaking with the victim to update her on the status of her case. While speaking with the officer, the woman told them that the male suspect had returned to the scene. Greeley Police said they immediately responded to the 2400 block of 38th Avenue on reports of a man with a weapon.

Greeley Police said when officers arrived on scene, they found a deceased 36-year-old man with a self-inflicted gunshot wound in the parking lot. They then found a 40-year-old woman with multiple gunshot wounds in the driver’s seat of a parked vehicle. A two-year-old child was found uninjured in the back seat…
