I-70 closed between Salina and Colorado due to blizzard

WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) – The Kansas Department of Transportation has closed eastbound and westbound lanes of Interstate 70 from Salina to the Colorado state line.

Accumulating snow and strong winds are causing blizzard conditions with low visibility.

Other closings include the following:

  • All highways in northwest Kansas
  • U.S. 50, from Garden City to Dodge City
  • U.S. 54, from Meade to Plains.
  • U.S. 56, from Montezuma to Dodge City
  • U.S. 83, from Garden City to Sublette
  • U.S. 83, from Scott City to Nebraska state line
  • U.S. 283, from Minneola to Nebraska state line
  • K-156, from Jetmore to Garden City
  • K-96, from Ness City to Albert
  • K-4, from Utica to Bushton
  • K-23, from Cimarron to Nebraska state line
  • K-147 from Brownell I-70
  • U.S. 36 from U.S. 81 to Colorado
  • K-281 from U.S. 36 to Nebraska
  • K-14 from U.S. 36 to Nebraska
  • K-18/K-181 junction
