Timnath will celebrate the opening of WildWing Community Park on Saturday, April 12. The 22.1-acre park offers new recreational opportunities and green space for residents and visitors. The public is invited to join the celebration from Noon to 2 p.m. at 2221 County Road 1 in Timnath.
“This park provides a space that encourages outdoor activity, fosters community engagement, and offers something for everyone,” said Timnath Mayor Robert Axmacher. “From pickleball players to pet owners, this park is designed to be inclusive and welcoming for all residents and neighbors.”
The Town of Timnath invested $6.175 million to create a park with a variety of amenities for all ages and abilities, including:
- Four pickleball courts
- Three soccer fields
- Basketball court
- Grass volleyball court
- ADA-accessible playground
- Community garden with 12 plots
- Event space with food truck access
- Large and small dog parks
- Restroom building
- Ample parking
