The city of Evans hopes to have its newest park completed by the end of August after approving a contract to turn an empty field at 29th Avenue and Park View Drive into Hunter’s Reserve Park. According to the Greeley Tribune, the new park is slated to include a walking trail, playground structure, natural play area, picnic shelter, benches, trees and a large open lawn space. The city said roughly half of the open field will be developed into the park, while the other half will continue to serve as a retention pond for Evans’ stormwater infrastructure. Construction is expected to begin in May.
