Daiso, the Japanese version of the Dollar Store, has made its recent debut in Colorado with two locations in Fort Collins and Aurora. Over the next few months, the chain will open a second location in Aurora, as well as one in Centennial and another in Arvada.
Known for its wide variety of affordable household goods, Daiso has more than 150 stores operating in the United States. Founded in Japan in 1972 as a street vending shop selling 100-yen products, the store has since expanded into a global chain offering low-cost Japanese items.
