FORT COLLINS – Excelling in the lanes as well as in their desired academic pursuits, four members of Colorado State’s women’s swimming and diving team were named Academic All-District by the College Sports Communicators on Tuesday.
To qualify, student-athletes must compete in at least 50 percent of competitions for the season, have posted top conference results and carry a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or higher. Earning the distinction for the Rams were senior captains Katie Flynn and Maya White, junior Lexie Trietley and sophomore Tess Whineray.
Whineray, a four-time All-Mountain West performer, carries a 3.98 GPA, White, named All-Mountain West eight times, carries a 3.91, as does Flynn, an eight-time conference placer as an individual.
