Weak Storm Systems to Bring Light Snow, Rain to Longmont Through Saturday Morning

Two weak storm systems are expected to affect the Front Range tonight into Saturday morning, according to predictions made by BoulderCAST, AccuWeather, and the National Weather Service (NWS). The storms are predicted to bring a small amount of snow and some rain to the Longmont area.

BoulderCAST predicted that from Thursday morning to late Thursday evening, there will be light precipitation in the Front Range, with totals of 0.1-inch to 0.2-inch accumulations of precipitation, and maybe less north of Boulder. The precipitation is expected to be a mixture of rain, rain and snow mix, and wet snow.

During the evening on Thursday, Longmont is expected to experience rain and snow, which should become mostly or entirely snow after midnight, according to the NWS. Low temperature is expected to be around 28ยบ. The NWS also reported that snow accumulation of less than a half inch is possible…
