‘Armed’ man taken into custody in Fort Collins

DENVER ( KDVR ) — A shelter-in-place order was lifted in Fort Collins after a reported “armed man on a roof” was taken into custody Wednesday morning.

At 8:44 a.m., a Larimer Emergency Telephone Authority (LETA) notification was sent to residents about a shelter-in-place near the 1700 block of N. Whitcomb Street in Fort Collins. The area is north of North Shields Ponds Natural Area.

The alert said there was police activity in the area and people should remain inside their homes or businesses…
