Man convicted in Greeley murder, sentenced to life in prison

GREELEY, Colo. — A man charged with shooting and killing a woman in Greeley in 2022 was convicted of first-degree murder and sentenced to life in prison Wednesday.

The Weld County District Attorney’s Office said in a release that Amos Alaniz, 24, was found guilty of first-degree murder for killing 21-year-old Herminia Marquez.
