A small digital scale with white residue started the search that landed a Weld County man behind bars for allegedly distributing methamphetamine and painkillers. The Greeley Tribune reports police arrested 44-year-old Gary Berlier on April 12 after they saw evidence of drugs when they approached him in his car in northeast Greeley, according to an affidavit for his arrest. The incident began early one morning late last month, when police contacted a suspicious vehicle parked at an address in the 400 block of 11th Avenue. Berlier, say police, was the person inside.
