The Boulder County Sheriff’s Office got an odd report on Friday, May 9, related to a person claiming that they had fired a weapon at a passing aircraft in the Longmont area.
The initial report came from a City of Longmont employee, who told law enforcement that someone had left a voice message stating that they shot a weapon at an in-flight Ultralight aircraft near the Vance Brand Longmont Municipal Airport.
Along with the Boulder County Sheriff’s Office, Longmont Department of Public Safety, the Transportation Safety Administration (TSA), the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) were also notified…
