FORT COLLINS, Colo. (KDVR) — For the first time in 27 years, Colorado State University Fort Collins is having a university-wide commencement, and CSU said it took some tough logistical planning.
On Friday, all spring graduates will walk across the stage at Canvas Stadium. This university-wide commencement is what CSU said students have been asking for for years, but with this came some challenges and restrictions that past graduations have not been met with.

For example, road closures, campus police, traffic attendants and more were surrounding CSU Friday. Maya Ashby and Peyton Paa, graduating friends from different colleges excited to get the chance to walk together.
“I’m feeling good. I’m feeling excited. Lots of school spirit. I think it will be fun to kind of celebrate with everybody and see all my friends all together,” Ashby said. “I’m nervous, but it’s going to be a lot of fun. It’s exciting to graduate with friends who aren’t in my college.” Paa said…
