WELD COUNTY, Colo. — It’s expected to take five years to clean up after a Chevron-operated oil well blowout in Weld County in April. Chevron has already hauled out 7,000 cubic yards of soil and 89,000 gallons of liquid, according to the Energy and Carbon Management Commission (ECMC).
