Larimer County Food Bank Announces Big Change for Colorado Residents
Denver 7 spoke to a volunteer at the Larimer County Food Bank. The volunteer said that the food bank can receive up to two dozen applications for access per day.
12.5 Million Pounds of Food Distributed Last Year
The Larimer County Food Bank gave Colorado residents 12.5 million pounds of food last year. We did some quick math and found that is over 34,000 pounds every single day.
New Residency Requirement Starts in Northern Colorado
The Larimer County Food Bank has gone above and beyond to support Coloradans, however, they are going to be placing more restrictions so they are ensuring they are only supplying food for Larimer County residents.
The Larimer County Food Bank said it would help residents in other Colorado counties locate resources, however, they will start a new residency requirement process. The Larimer County Food Bank will begin requiring proof of local residence beginning on July 1.
