Tornado warning issued for parts of Logan and Weld counties in northeast Colorado

DENVER — The National Weather Service in Denver issued a tornado warning Monday evening for portions of west central Logan County and eastern Weld County as a severe thunderstorm with radar-indicated rotation moved through the area.

At 7:05 p.m. MDT, a storm capable of producing a tornado was located about 5 miles northwest of Willard, or 20 miles west of Sterling, moving northeast at 15 mph. Golf ball size hail was also reported as a hazard with the storm.
