Denver to Fort Morgan: Strong Storms May Bring Hail, Gusty Winds and Heavy Rain Through Thursday Evening

Denver, Colorado – Strong thunderstorms could rattle cities from Denver to Fort Morgan Thursday afternoon, with the potential for hail, damaging winds, and brief heavy downpours stretching across the I-25 corridor and northeastern plains.

According to the National Weather Service in Boulder, scattered storms are expected to develop after 1 p.m., mainly along and east of I-25. A few stronger cells could bring one-inch hail, 40 to 60 mph wind gusts, and intense rainfall in short bursts.
