Colorado’s 1st video-game style go-karts hit the race track in Estes Park

DENVER (KDVR) — Go-kart racing is being electrified in Colorado.

Estes Park Ride-A-Kart is debuting an upgraded racing experience inspired by a popular video game, a first of its kind in the Centennial state.

Owners Kelly and Andrew Kessler told FOX31 in an interview that they are launching a new fleet of electric Power Up go-karts on Friday, along with an all-new gamified racing system.

“Just like your favorite video game you grew up playing as a kid, it has the same features of that. There’s coins, there’s question marks, there’s spots on the track that interact with your cart and with the other drivers,” Andrew said…
