High-Speed Crash Into Longmont Building Leads to Reckless Driving Ticket

On Wednesday, June 25, at around 7:55 p.m., a driver in Longmont crashed into the north wall of the Cambios Torres building in the 900 block of Main Street, according to the communications and marketing manager for Longmont Public Safety, Robin Ericson. The driver was 23-year-old Nikolaus Jay Finn, who was “traveling at a high rate of speed and lost control of the vehicle.” Finn hit a curb, a light pole, and then crashed into the Cambios Torres building.

Finn was the only occupant in the vehicle and was taken to a local hospital with minor injuries. Ericson said that Finn was issued a ticket for reckless driving, which is a Class 2 misdemeanor traffic offense, and was released…
