Will a King Soopers Be Coming to Loveland by Sam’s Club and Home Depot?

Folks in Loveland have been wanting a grocery store on the east side of town, for what seems like forever. One of Colorado’s most popular chains could be eyeing a spot that’s not at Centerra.

JAX in East Loveland Closing Down Before End of Summer 2025

By the middle of July, the JAX in east Loveland will officially have closed its doors after being open since 2008. The company felt that the JAX location on the west side of town was enough, especially with an Outdoor World coming to I-25 and Crossroads Boulevard.

A former Albertsons/County Market sits empty in east Loveland along Eisenhower Boulevard as travelers pass through town on the way to Estes Park and Rocky Mountain National Park. The building also once held an ALCO store in the 1970s.

In early 2025, it was announced that a King Soopers will be coming to far east Loveland, near the interstate. That will help folks who live in that ever-growing part of Loveland and Johnstown, for sure. One closer to the middle of Loveland would bring many smiles to “in town” residents.

A Grocery Store Has Been Long-Needed Near Madison and Eisenhower

For many years, along Eisenhower Boulevard, just east of Madison Avenue, there was a grocery store (Albertsons/County Market) but it closed in 2006; the building is still owned by Safeway/Albertsons for now, but they have no plans of restarting a market.
