The small town of Johnstown, Colorado, has grown quite a bit since I moved there in 2016. My wife and I used to joke that there were more cows in the surrounding area than people. We liked it.
Major Businesses Put Johnstown on the Map
Johnstown has seen an explosive growth of not only people, but businesses over the last decade. We saw the arrival of the sporting goods retailer, Scheels, and we are home to the only Buc-ee’s in the state of Colorado.

In 2025, Johnstown got another grocery store. This new grocery store is based in Missouri, and it has a bar in it. Talk about an elevated shopping experience. The arrival of Wood’s Supermarket and Murdoch’s in the Ledge Rock Center has sparked even more growth in Johnstown.

Currently, the Ledge Rock Center of Highway 60 and Interstate 25 has a few tenants, but not even close to the amount of what will be in the future.
