Man Facing Charges After What Authorities Label A Deadly Punch

A man is facing charges after punching a man in the back of the head back in May in downtown Greeley, and that man dying days later. According to the Greeley Tribune, the attack led to a large brawl, which police believe to be gang-related, according to an arrest affidavit for 21-year-old Luis Villareal-Tapia, who’s charged with manslaughter and assault. The victim, identified as 42-year-old Raul Loma, was taken to a hospital, where he died May 21 from a skull fracture suffered during the fight, the affidavit states. Villareal-Tapia is being held in the Weld County Jail on $750,000 bond ahead of his initial appearance Friday in Weld County District Court…
