A man who climbed onto a firetruck and got in a shootout with police at a Windsor hotel in January 2024 was found guilty of attempted murder, among other charges.
A jury found Damian Jackson, now 40, guilty of five counts of attempted murder, a Class 2 felony; three counts of first-degree assault of a police officer, a Class 3 felony; and five counts of menacing, a Class 5 felony. He was also found guilty of four misdemeanor charges: reckless endangerment, obstructing a police officer, resisting arrest and making a false report to authorities.
