Loveland’s Rubber Duck Race to Celebrate 30 Years Aug. 23

Loveland Rotary Club, partnering with Loveland Fire Rescue Authority (LFRA), is planning the most exciting duck launch many residents will have ever seen at the start of this year’s Rubber Duck Race, held at 4 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 23, 2025, during the annual Corn Roast Festival at the bridge near Railroad Avenue in Loveland’s Fairgrounds Park.

All present that afternoon will witness an amazing feat when LFRA’s Station 6 Fire House team lifts more than 7,000 rubber ducks nearly 100 feet over the Big Thompson River using its fire truck and cherry picker boom, dropping the enormous rubber ducky regatta into the water to start the race.

For the moms, dads, kids and grandparents eagerly awaiting this event because they’ve “sponsored” a duck in the race with the hopes of winning one of the top prizes (the first prize is $1,000), and for all community-minded, Loveland-area citizens who loyally support this perennial favorite fundraiser that has pumped hundreds of thousands of dollars into beneficial programs over its 30 years, this is going to be a remarkable event they won’t want to miss and will likely never forget…
