There is a small gift shop in Loveland that gives new meaning to the word “small.” It’s probably the only one of its kind across Colorado.
What Does ‘Chibi’ Mean When It Comes to This Loveland Gift Shop?
Chibi is the Japanese world for “small” or “short;” and implies cuteness; this shop in Loveland is full of many, many, small gifts. Most of the gifts revolve around “blind boxes,” which are a very popular form of collectibles. Have you heard of them? I found they’re similar to buying a pack of baseball trading cards.
“An example of the Blind Boxes you’ll find at this little shop in Loveland. They cost about $15, and people get a lot of enjoyment out of ‘unboxing’ their Blind Boxes.” I often frequent the Rock Bottom at The Promenade Shops at Centerra for dinner with friends. On one particular visit in mid-August of 2025, I noticed a new shop had opened near Rock Bottom in the two weeks that had passed since my last visit. A shop called “Chibi Box.”
It came to mind that I could tell you what had occupied that space prior to Chibi Box moving in; I checked Google Street View, and it only went back to 2018. Regardless, this shop is definitely unique. Will you be stopping in?
