The Beauty of Blackness Fine Art Show returns to Fort Collins

FORT COLLINS, Colo. — The Beauty of Blackness Fine Art Show is returning to Fort Collins for its sixth year, offering a celebration of Black American art, culture and community. The event will be held Sept. 4–7 at the Opera Galleria in Old Town.

Founded by local artist Louise Cutler, the show brings together fine art exhibitions, artist-led workshops and a special Friday evening ceremony honoring local community leaders.

Cutler, who has lived in Fort Collins for more than a decade, said the event is about more than just showcasing artwork — it’s about creating space for Black culture to be seen, celebrated and understood in Northern Colorado…
