Man arrested for allegedly vandalizing photo enforcement vehicle in Greeley

DENVER (KDVR) — A 27-year-old man was arrested in Greeley on Wednesday morning after he allegedly threw a 10-pound rock through a window of a photo enforcement vehicle, injuring a photo enforcement technician who was sitting inside.

The Greeley Police Department said Friday that the photo enforcement vehicle was deployed in a designated school zone in the 2000 block of 16th Street when the alleged vandalism occurred at approximately 7 a.m. Wednesday.

The man, identified as Dillan Roker, attempted to flee the scene on foot but was apprehended “a short distance away” and taken into custody without further incident, police said. He is accused of causing $2,600 in damages.

Roker was booked into the Weld County Jail and has been charged with felony attempted 1st degree assault and criminal mischief, along with a misdemeanor charge of 3rd degree assault, according to police.
