Here are four hospital closures Becker’s has reported on since Aug. 1:
1. Banner Health will end emergency services at its Loveland, Colo.-based Banner McKee Medical Center on Nov. 5 as the facility is converted to a specialty hospital. Banner will also be closing a freestanding emergency department and its Banner Urgent Care Center in Greeley, Colo. on Nov. 5, and the Banner Health Clinic OB-GYN practice at Greeley-based Summitview Medical Commons will relocate with existing Banner OB-GYN services in Larimer County (Colo.).
2. Willows, Calif.-based Glenn Medical Center plans to close its emergency department, with the hospital closing shortly after, following CMS’ plan to revoke its critical access hospital designation, effective Oct. 21.
