LONGMONT, CO – The City of Longmont will be taking its five City-owned electric vehicle charging stations out of service on Sept. 17 so that ChargePoint equipment can be removed from the sites and new ABB equipment can be installed. The stations are expected to again be available in October, with a specific date to be announced as the work is completed.
Longmont Power & Communications executive director Darrell Hahn said the move would make the stations easier to maintain and is intended to improve reliability. Drivers will access the new chargers through the EVGateway app, available at https://evgateway.net/ev-drivers.php .
“We appreciate the patience of our community’s electric vehicle drivers while we’re making this change, and we’ll bring these stations back into service as quickly as we can,” Hahn said…
