LOVELAND, Colo. — A massive Amazon building just east of Interstate 25 in Loveland has sat empty for more than a year — and some residents are wondering why.
The facility, which was originally scheduled to open in 2024, is expected to bring more than 1,000 full-time jobs to Northern Colorado. Amazon now says the project is still happening, but the opening date is uncertain.
“We plan to open our Loveland facility and provide more than 1,000 full-time jobs and competitive wages with comprehensive benefits from day one,” an Amazon spokesperson said in a statement. “We’ve stayed close with our partners in Loveland throughout the process and we’re looking forward to this facility.”…
