FORT COLLINS, Colo. — After years of battling mental and physical health issues, Army veteran Roy Giubbini didn’t expect that healing would come on four legs.
Once on the brink of homelessness and struggling in silence, Giubbini’s life began to change when a friend introduced him to a dog named Buddy — a deaf shelter pup in need of a second chance. Their unlikely bond is now helping Giubbini open up, move forward and rediscover a sense of purpose.
