A reckless driver drove southbound in northbound lanes and struck multiple vehicles on I-25 while fleeing police on Monday afternoon. I-25 northbound was shut down from mile marker 245 to the Berthoud exit as a result.
The Larimer County Sheriff’s Office (LCSO) said that the incident occurred at approximately 12:30 p.m. when deputies attempted to stop a vehicle for traffic violations in south Loveland. The driver of the vehicle eluded deputies and began driving recklessly the wrong way on I-25.
The suspect’s vehicle struck multiple cars and one person involved in one of the crashes was injured and transported to an area hospital. LCSO said that its deputies performed a precision immobilization technique (PIT) maneuver on the vehicle to disable it and took the driver into custody…
