A legioniary aviator honored for his years of flying and teaching
An Aims Community College aviation professor with more than 50 years of experience flying and teaching will be inducted into the Colorado Aviation Hall of Fame in October.
Aims Professor William Standerfer said he began his career in 1970 — one year after the Aviation Hall of Fame was established by the Colorado Aviation Historical Society.
“Flying has been part of my life for 55 years,” Standerfer said. “I’ve been fortunate to teach and share my passion with so many students here at Aims and through community service. Being recognized in the Colorado Aviation Hall of Fame is truly an honor.”…
