What is Colorado’s Process for Obtaining a Concealed Handgun Permit as of 2025?
According to CBS Denver, as of July 1, 2025, first time applicants have to attend eight hours of in-person classroom training, score 80% or better on the written test, be trained by sheriff-certified instructors, have 70% accuracy when shooting at least 50 rounds, and more, with HB-24 1174.
For those that have obtained a conceal carry permit before, these new requirements are a big change, like it or not.
