Denver Weather Alert: Frost Advisory from 2 AM to 8 AM Monday Morning

Denver, CO – Residents across the Denver metro area and northern Colorado are being urged to protect outdoor plants as temperatures are expected to drop to near freezing overnight Sunday into Monday morning.

According to the National Weather Service in Denver, a Frost Advisory remains in effect from 2 a.m. to 8 a.m. MDT Monday, October 13. The advisory covers Denver, Fort Collins, Greeley, and surrounding communities in Weld and Larimer Counties.

Forecasters say temperatures could fall as low as 28 degrees in Fort Collins and around 32 degrees in Greeley and northern Weld County, enough to cause frost formation on exposed surfaces. The NWS warns that sensitive vegetation and crops may be damaged or killed if left uncovered…
