Greeley, CO – The Weld County Sheriff’s Office and local nonprofit Weld Elves are calling for community support after announcing a shortage of holiday gifts for girls ages 9 to 12 — the largest age group in their annual donation program.
According to a post from the Weld County Sheriff’s Office, donations are especially needed for items such as arts and crafts kits, room décor, beauty and Bluetooth accessories, Lego sets, and journaling supplies. The Weld Elves initiative partners with law enforcement agencies across the county to ensure children in need receive gifts during the holidays.
In a recent message shared on social media, Weld Elves said their “referral elves” have been busy distributing gifts, but supplies for girls in the 9–12 age group have fallen short. The organization is asking residents to donate new, unwrapped gifts to help meet the growing demand before the holiday season begins…
