Estes Park trick-or-treaters will have safe passage on Elkhorn Avenue

To provide safe passage for trick-or-treaters during annual community Halloween festivities, Estes Park will again close Elkhorn Avenue from Spruce Drive to Riverside Drive, the town has announced.

The event will run from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 31, with street closures and set up beginning at 4:15 p.m. Side street traffic will be detoured.

“The lane closures are intended to increase safe areas for pedestrians, while at the same time improving the ability of adjacent businesses to participate in the Halloween festivities,” the town said in a press release…
