Witnesses tell deputies that hotel stabbing came after derogatory racial comments

DENVER (KDVR) — A 30-year-old man was arrested for allegedly stabbing another man in a hotel lobby in Wellington on Wednesday.

The Larimer County Sheriff’s Office said that dispatch received a 911 call for a stabbing in the 7800 block of 6th Street just before 5 p.m. The caller told dispatchers that two men were arguing in the hotel lobby when one of the men stabbed the other.

The suspect was identified as Dominic Alley, 30, of Wellington.

When deputies arrived on scene, they found both the victim and suspect had separated. The victim, who was not identified, was transported to a local hospital with “non-life-threatening lacerations,” according to the sheriff’s office…
