Longtime Loveland Carl’s Jr. Close Up

Just about every town in Colorado has at least one fast food restaurant. Loveland’s amount of them dropped by one in October of 2025 with the closure of burger joint that had been serving the community for decades.

Keeping any restaurant going for decades does take a lot of work, even if it is part of a national chain. You hardly ever see a McDonald’s close down, however. It seems like Carl’s Jr.’s reign in Colorado, at least Northern Colorado, could be nearing its end. It was in late July of 2025 that the Carl’s Jr. that had been open for 40 years on Mulberry near Riverside closed. That spot is slated to become a Taco Palace; what will happen to this spot in Loveland?

In mid-late October of 2025, the Carl’s Jr. on Eisenhower Boulevard at Cleveland Avenue shut its doors. The closure did seem sudden; as it’s been there for so many years, it was hard to believe that it was no more. It had been Carl’s Jr. (after being Hardee’s) for long, it’s hard to remember what was on that corner before it being a burger joint. The Carl’s Jr. at Crossroads Boulevard remained open as of this writing…
