On Saturday, Oct. 18, almost seven million people participated in No Kings protests across the country. Joining them were about 500 Berthoud residents who faced 30 to 40 mph winds to join the local demonstration along Mountain Avenue, west of downtown. Holding a wide variety of signs, and some wearing inflatable costumes, they were met with mostly cheers and enthusiastic horn-honking from passing motorists.
