Weld Food Bank line doubles in size after SNAP benefits delayed

GREELEY, Colo. — The Weld Food Bank saw cars lined up around the block on Monday morning as families sought help after a government shutdown delayed the delivery of SNAP benefits, which many depend on to buy food.

The surge in demand has the Greeley-based nonprofit extending its hours as need nearly doubles.
