LONGMONT, Colo. — A school bus crashed through the Colorado Therapeutic Riding Center’s property Monday afternoon after swerving to avoid a multi-vehicle accident on Highway 52.
Mountain View Fire Rescue responded to the crash around 4:30 p.m. near the entrance of the center. Four vehicles were involved in the incident — one school bus and three passenger vehicles. The bus driver, who was the only person on the bus, took evasive action to avoid the initial crash between the passenger vehicles and wound up driving through the riding center’s field, according to fire officials.
“The bus came off the road right where the bent green marker is,” said Michele Bruhn, executive director of the Colorado Therapeutic Riding Center. “It was airborne here and then crashed into the fence here.”…
