Speed Cameras Coming Soon to Another Northern Colorado Town

Another Northern Colorado town has implemented the use of speed cameras this month. The new Automated Vehicle Identification System, known as AVIS, will start on December 1, 2025.

Photo Radar Aims to Improve Road Safety

The photo radar enforcement system is part of an initiative to improve roadway safety and reduce dangerous speeding in the community of Eaton, Colorado. According to the Eaton Police Department, the speed safety cameras are already in place, but are not live as of yet.

Starting on December 1, citations will be issued to drivers who are observed going at least 10 miles per hour over the speed limit. These citations will be reviewed by a sworn officer of the Eaton Police Department before being sent to the offending driver.

Eaton’s Five Speed Camera Enforcement Zones

  • Oak Avenue/US Highway 85 from 10th Street to Colorado Parkway – north and south lanes
  • Collins Street from Fall Line Road to Christensen Avenue – east and west lanes
  • Fall Line Road from 3rd Street to Benjamin Drive – north and south lanes
  • Christensen Avenue from Hawkstone Drive to Weld County Road 72 – north and south lanes
  • East 10th Street from Oak Avenue to Weld County Road 39 – east and west lanes
