Original Owners Reclaim Doug’s Diner in Greeley

Doug’s Diner’s Greeley restaurant, at 801 9th St., is reopening after having to close temporarily amidst a legal battle. According to The Coloradoan, this restaurant and the one in Fort Collins will once again operate under its original ownership team.

Prior owners Rick Bruening and Ermalinda Hernandez had sold ownership of the joints last year to separate franchisees, but they ended up in litigation with both parties. While that outcome of the court battle is still ongoing, it was announced that Bruening and Hernandez would reopen the diners.

“We are delighted to announce the reopening of Doug’s Diner Greeley,” the company posted on social media. “Our original menu and pricing will be reinstated, and we welcome large parties. To ensure that everyone can be seated, we have increased our table and seating capacity.”…
