Piece of downtown Greeley history reopens to the public

GREELEY, Colo. — A piece of Greeley’s history has been given new life as the Downtown State Armory reopens to the public with a new vision.

The building, which began as a National Guard training center in the 1920s, has served different roles over the decades, including as a church and a bar. Now, a group of local business owners has turned it into a creative hub featuring a coffee shop, plant store, bookstore, stage and more.
