On October 28, 2025, Larimer County Commissioners approved an amended contract with SummitStone Health Partners. This contract ensures clinical services will continue at the Longview behavioral health facility. The facility opened to the public nearly two years ago. It is part of the county’s efforts to provide mental health and substance-use care.
The Longview Acute Care facility is funded by a behavioral health sales tax approved by voters in 2018. It operates 24 hours a day and serves people of all ages, regardless of their ability to pay. Since opening on December 2, 2023, the facility has served 6,827 unique clients and recorded 13,796 total visits. Each month, the urgent care unit receives between 600 and 700 visits. About 250 clients per month are admitted for crisis stabilization or medically-managed withdrawal.
