Windsor Man Sentenced to 45.5 Years for 2024 Drive-By Shooting

A year after a terrifying incident in Windsor, the sentencing for the man behind it has been given out.

On March 28th, 2024 in the 600 block of Gyrfalcon Court, someone fired multiple shots at an “occupied” building. Luckily, no injuries were reported as a result of this incident.

However, several vehicles as well as the building were damaged due to the gunfire, according to reports.

Suspect Kyle Bertsch Threatened Drivers Near Intersand America Corp

The suspect, Kyle Bertsch of Windsor, allegedly used the gun to threaten two other drivers near the Intersand America Corp. building.

Hour-Long Police Chase Ends in Weld County

Bertsch led law enforcement on an hour long chase that culminated in his truck breaking down in a field in Weld County before surrendering, reports say.

Multiple Northern Colorado Agencies Responded to Drive-By Shooting and Chase

Multiple branches of local law enforcement were involved in this pursuit, including; Windsor Police, Severance Police, Weld County Deputies and Larimer County Deputies.

Kyle Bertsch Charged with Numerous Crimes

Once he was taken into custody, authorities filed multiple charges against Bertsch.

They include; menacing, illegal discharge of a firearm, drug possession, disorderly conduct, criminal mischief, reckless endangerment, eluding, possession of a weapon by a previous offender, and violating a protection order, according to reports…
